It’s part of the system from the first decision—the same as mobile layout, performance, and how a page reads to search engines and AI. These aren’t competing concerns. The well-structured markup a screen reader depends on is the same markup that works on a phone, loads quickly, and reads clearly to a machine. Building accessibility-first and mobile-first isn’t extra work laid on top. It’s how the work gets built.
